I grew up in Smyrna Ga. and began singing while attending Vinings Methodist Church as a child. When I was 17 years old I became a member of Mt. Paran Church Of God. I sang in the choir and sang with a trio called Heaven Sent. I was also in the choir at Campbell High School. Over the years I have sang with various gospel groups such as, The Forgiven , God's Design , Heavenly Reign , Heaven Sent and Highest Praise.
I played the guitar and sang my first song in public at 6 years old, at Vinings Methodist. The first song I learned on the guitar and sang was (Do Lord). The other song I learned was (Easy Loving), but I was to young to know you did not sing that in church. That is what my momma said.( I love my momma)
Music is my life because it is a ministry that can reach the very soul of people. I give God all the honor and praise. I just got married in August of 2003 to the most beautiful woman, her name is Jan. It is so nice to have someone that supports you in everything you do. So I thank God for her each and every day. (Thank you Lord)
I started singing with The Watchers in 1987. My favorite music is Southern Gospel, Country Gospel, and Bluegrass. I have a lot of favorite songs - too many to list. My favorite Gospel groups are Eternal Vision and The Hinson's. But my most favorite gospel group is The Watchers because they are like family to me. Bobby and Caroline are like my own brother and sister. We have been through a lot together through the years. We have always supported each other and been there for each other.
I'm the song leader and choir director at my church, Praise Tabernacle in Cartersville, Ga. I enjoy spending time with my wife and little Lilly (Jan's granddaughter) she is 6 years old. She is a hand full and just loves coming over and beating up on me (ha ha). We wrestle, laugh, sing, and play Simon Says. We have her almost every weekend and she goes with us to all the singings. We take her to her favorite place to eat, Taco Bell- Pizza Hut (Ha Ha). But really we just enjoy every moment we get to spend with her. P.S. We have two more grandkids on the way so pray hard for us. (Ha Ha). Please keep us in your prayers along with our church. God Bless all of you and I hope to see you at our next concert. Paul
